Thank god I downloaded Tribes 2 before PA linked to it.

There're a few other mirror sites that might have it, too, if they're not down. 500 meg is a pretty hefty download. Anyway, if you're looking for a key, fileplanet have stopped giving them out I think, but the steps on this forum thread might still work; it's how I got my key. I'm excited, because it's the only thing that'll work on my dinosaur computer.

Oh, and a friend said that this is a useful article to read, if you're also a Tribes newbie.

A couple things: first, I dropped the splashpage, cuz' it was excess weight... and it was distracting me from getting work done on the main site, which is pointless.

Second, is anyone having problems with the comic being too bright? Let us know in the forum.

In other news, HyperSonic Sound, if you haven't heard of it, is a new technology that seems rather interesting. As far as I can determine, it uses ultra sonic sound (which is both highly direction and out of the range of human hearing) to create normal sound in the place that it is projected to. Because a new sound is created by an original sound's interaction with air, if you can work backward from the new sound (which is, say, a bird chirping) and find which original sound can cause it, as long as that original sound is ultra sonic, you can (theoretically) project the ultra sonic sound "waves" to a specific area, where it will interact with the air and seem to 'create' the new sound, for anyone within the immediate radius to hear. This is speculation using rudimentary knowledge of the way it works, so don't take it as gospel. (If you have any links with more information, I'd appreciate it.)

This sounds pretty cool, until you hear that Coca Cola are going to be utilizing this new technology, by having Coke machines bombard you with sounds of a Coke bottle being opened, and the bottle being poured out into a glass. Because of the fact that they're able to pinpoint the sound, it will seem that it's happening right behind your ear. And this is just with the level of technology that they have at the moment.

...

No more coke for me. I think I'll stick with Pepsi products (Mountain Dew... mmm...), and settle for the lesser of two evils, hoping that they don't follow Coke's example and leave me with nothing to survive on other than coffee and OJ.

Oh, finally, I'll get the next instalment of Servant of Kere up in the next few days. The next comic will probably be a little later than usual, because I'm having problems with scripting.

Well, uni's kicking in, but we're still alive (mostly). The new site design should be up by the end of the week... and I'm not just saying that to crush your frail human spirit, when I don't update it after all.

Definitely not.

Also, I'm hoping to get some stuff written for you to read between now and when page 6 is up; I've got the script done (this is like the sixth rewrite of the same scene, finally done decently), and hopefully Kail will be able to get started working his magic soon.

If anyone has a clue as to how we suddenly jumped from ~20 unique visits per day last Thursday to ~120 on Friday, let me know; I probably now owe a few of my organs to slashdot or something. In any case, the sixth comic will be up next week and the site design and a new bit of text should be finished and up on the net by this Friday.

Well, there's only a certain number of times you can get a kick out of promising stuff to people and then snatching it away from them, so I finally finished off the site design (as you may have noticed). If there're any errors (well, when you find one of the many errors), please let me know in the forum, which is active, by the way.

Also, I have that installment of Servant of Kere done, finally.

And, on a lighter note, the exam I thought I had on Thursday is tomorrow. Which means I'm not going to get any sleep tonight. Arr.

I've noticed the problem we're having with IE and the site, and it will be fixed in the next few days. Until then, pretend that tables are your friend... and cross your eyes when you look at the page, cuz' maybe that way the cells will line up. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

The new page should be up in at most 10 or 11 hours... just need to add the dialogue. A couple of interesting things are also in the works; we're thinking a progress bar might be useful for you guys, since we take so long to get a page out. Also, we should have all the pages' dialogue fixed soonish; after all our Papyrus Problems, we finally have the capacity to get them consistent. The inconsistency is currently gnawing at the very essence of my being, so you can expect, nay, demand it to be done by, say... the end of this weekend.
