Comment on the current comic!

All right, in an attempt to justify taking up all this space on the front page, I've decided to explain what I'm doing here. Basically, I draw this comic because I like drawing comics, and I hope (someday) to get very good at it.

The format of Cion is very different from the way I usually draw (which is generic "Crappy Anime Wannabe" style), because this is my first collaborative effort. The point of doing this is to hopefully broaden my technique by drawing things I wouldn't draw if I were left to my own devices, so I am likely to make a lot of mistakes along the way.

At any rate, the reason I am doing this on the Web in the first place is for feedback. It is really difficult for me to spot a lot of fairly fundamental mistakes in my drawing (probably because I make them so often I get used to them). So, improving my drawing tends to be a very slow and frustrating process without any outside influence. To this end, I decided that it might be a good idea to start doing an online comic, so that I could get some feedback from other people.

So, in the event that there is anyone out there actually reading this page who has a few minutes to kill, it would really help me out if you could drop me a line regarding what you do or don't like about the visual style of the comic. Really specific (like "I don't like the mouth on page three, frame three") , really general (like "Your colors are too saturated"), or anything in-between would all be very helpful. Also, anyone who has any tips on drawing or coloring techniques that I might benefit from, feel free to, um, tell me, please?

This page is so nice.

Ed: Took me a few hours, but I fixed the site so it uses CSS (yay!). It should look a little better in IE, but still isn't perfect, because IE is a piece of crap that I would pay large amounts of moneys to have made physically tangible just so that I could beat the everloving snot out of it with a thick metal bar, that had an angry face etched into 'the smushing side', which I'd affectionately refer to it as.
